PLEASE NOTE that this barrel is for older P229/P228 models. This barrel will not work with pistolsthat have barrels that are currently labeled with "P229-1".  You would require a different barrel.
 
How do I identify if my P229 is a 229-1 Version?
 
Identifying unique characteristics of a 229-1:
 
Viewing from the top down, the top surface of the barrel chamber (the extended rectangular section at the rear of a barrel), is rectangle-shaped. A legacy slide chamber will have the shape of a trapezoid.
A full-length external extractor. Legacy slides will have either an internal extractor or a short external extractor. A full-length external extractor will measure greater than 1 inch.
Viewing from the top down, there is a hole in the top of the slide with a roll-pin installed in the hole. A legacy slide does not have a hole in the top of the slide.
 
This threaded barrel is chambered in 9mm and allows you to attach a suppresor or compensator. A knurled, threaded cap protects the barrel's threads when no muzzle device is attached. SIG SAUER factory replacement pistol barrels are specially heat-treated for toughness and durability.
